Iconic Pinups: From Regular Gal to Femme Fatale
HOW LONG HAVE WE BEEN AROUND?
Iconic Pinups was launched in February 2009.
Photographer Carol Sheridan and makeup artist Stacy Lande have been friends since 1992 when both were young participants in the Silverlake art and music scene.
Having done many boudoir sessions for their bridal clients, Stacy and Carol thought: "Why should brides have all the fun? What if we were to offer this same empowering experience to ALL women?" And voila, Iconic Pinups was born!
Because of their love of Bettie Page and all things vintage, as well as the decor they already had in their homes, they decided to give the business a vintage spin: Carol's house being the retro house, and Stacy's the vintage.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE RETRO AND THE VINTAGE HOUSE?
The Retro:
Carol's home! It features the pink headboard and chaise lounge, Paris backdrop and white bed with sheers for the half hour shoot, and the record wall, damask wallpaper and retro kitchen available as upgrade sets.
The Vintage:
Stacy's house! It has the pink and white striped taffeta drapes, black and white damask drapes, Paris backdrop and vintage vanity with folding screen for the half hour, mini Greenlux room and mint green vintage kitchen and tiki set available as upgrades.

WHAT TO BRING?
* sheer thigh highs if you want them, and you can't go wrong with a black garter belt!
* high heels
* a good black push up bra to go under
* your own undies
* anything of your own to mix and match with ours: dresses, lingerie, etc
* come with your nails already done! (Jungle Red is a popular choice!)
** We have mostly lingerie: corsets, ruffled bottoms and sheer black lace robes
***Please arrive with dry, clean hair (holds better)
We supply the false lashes!
WHERE ARE THE HOUSES LOCATED?
The houses are only 4 miles apart!
*Our vintage is near the 2 and 5 fwy, near Glendale
*Our retro is in the hills of Montecito Heights, off the 110 fwy, between Chinatown and South Pasadena.
Stacy Lande, Makeup Artist
Stacy has been a makeup artist since graduating from MUD (Makeup Designory in Burbank, CA) in 2001. She has since worked on television and film, weddings, as a MAC makeup artist, and as a makeup instructor at MUD. She currently applies her talents full time to Iconic Pinups, as well as weddings and special events.
Before becoming a makeup artist she earned her bachelor's degree in Fine Art from Cal State University, Northridge, and worked as a portrait artist, mural artist/decorative painter, and in the art dept for television and film.
Photographer, Carol Sheridan
Carol has been living in the Los Angeles area for over twenty years and has been a photographer for just as long.
Her photography work over the years has included many weddings, hip- hop artists such as Snoop Dogg, Master P, and The Roots, creative CD covers for Rhino Records, as well as capturing many local bands that were from SIlverlake, California.
In the last five years Carol has dedicated her time to Iconic Pinups! where she feels her talent is helping you see your inner beauty shine through!
